You Don’t Have the Midas Touch

No matter how much success you have under your belt, you can never think that everything you touch will turn to gold.   Every new project is a new challenge and no matter how talented you are, how much resources you have, success is never a guarantee.

Even Steve Jobs had major flops.

Being aware of this is the first step to avoiding major rug burn.   When you’ve stalled is when the work really begins.  But if you think that you’ve not stalled until too late, you could already be dead.

Approaching a new project or company with humbleness and knowing that nothing is figured out until its done, allows you to be resourceful and aggressive.

Don’t think everything you touch will turn to gold.  Be paranoid.
